Races Cancelled at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (September 7, 2012) – The races scheduled for tonight at the Davenport Speedway have been cancelled due to rain. The event has been tentatively rescheduled for Friday, September 28th. 

The Brockway Mechanical & Roofing Sprint Invaders “East/West Clash of the Best” was to be run on the half-mile dirt oval. Also on tonight’s program were 4-stocks and IMCA-style Late Models.

 Weather permitting, the racing action continues next Friday, Sept. 14th, with Davenport Speedway’s first-ever Night of Destruction. The Night of Destruction features “Cheater Races” for IMCA Modified, Street Stock, and 4-Stock classes and the automotive carnage of the “Trailer Race”.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport, Iowa.
