DES MOINES, Iowa (Jan. 21) – An 18th date has been added to the schedule for the upcoming Deery Brothers Summer Series.

Touring IMCA Late Models headline the Monday, Aug. 12 season championship night program at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines.

The race once again coincides with the Iowa State Fair and pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start.

Opening night for the 27th annual series will now be Friday, April 5 at Dubuque Speedway. The Saturday, April 20 show will be held on the Farley Speedway 3/8-mile oval.

The change was made because of a conflict with a non-racing event at the Farley facility on April 5. Those features also pay $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start.

The only other Deery Series opening night event held at Dubuque was in 2011.

Deery drivers return to Dubuque on July 14 and to Farley for both nights of the Sept. 13-14 Yankee Dirt Track Classic.
