Deery Series show at Farley postponed to May 21
FARLEY, Iowa (April 19) – Lingering cold weather and prospects for more of the same have resulted in postponement of Saturday’s Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Farley Speedway.
That IMCA Late Model tour race will now be held Tuesday, May 21. Times are to be announced.
The rescheduling at Farley was the series’ second of the weekend. Tonight’s race at Davenport had already been moved to Friday, July 5.
Inclement weather, unseasonably low temperatures and accompanying adverse track conditions prompted five tour postponements this month. The exception was the April 6 show at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, won by Denny Eckrich of Tiffin.
Seventeen events remain on the 2013 schedule. Quad City Speedway at East Moline, Ill., next hosts the $3,000 to win, minimum $300 to start Hershel Roberts Memorial Deery on Sunday, May 5.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. with racing to follow.
