George’s Lawn Mower Night at 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, IOWA (June 9, 2018) – Brandon Rothzen in the number 33 modified recovered from a flat tire early in the IMCA USA Container Modified race and passed the field of 17 cars to take home the W this weekend. It was a hard fought battle with race leader, Dustin Smith.
The $1,000 to win sprint car race was won by Jarrod Schneiderman.
Battling with his brother, Josh Schneiderman, who came from 12th starting spot, Jarrod picked up the top prize in this week’s Randall’s Performance 305 Sprint Car race. The first, second and third place cars are all second generation 34 Raceway drivers.
Chad Krogmeier held off a hard charge from Jason Cook & John Oliver, Jr.
to take home his first win of the season in IMCA Pepsi Stock Car Class.
Sean Wyett picked up his 3rd win of the 2018 season in the IMCA Casebine Credit Union Sport Mods. Charging through the field from 10th place, Wyett had a commanding lead on the field throughout the race to take home the top spot.
Brandon Rue took home the win in the IMCA Sonny’s Market Sport Compact class this weekend. Larry Miller and Cody Vandusen got 2nd and 3rd respectfully charging through the field from 6th and 12th places into the top spots.
Up next weekend, weekly racing with 305 Sprints, Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Modifieds and ModLites. We’re having a $1 hot dog and Bud Light Happy Hour next Saturday night in the Grandstands and will be having Jr. Fan Club Activities as well.
