Hughes, Grant, Hanes and Burnett all Claim Wins at I-35 Speedway Winston, MO!!!

WINSTON, MO (July 16, 2016) –  Kicking off a night of exciting racing action War Series Sprints would set the stage with a dash to the checkers. Heat race winner Clinton Boyles #77 would take the early lead pulling away from the field until a late race caution would bunch the competitors for a mad dash to the line. Throughout the feature one driver would find the high line and make his march to the front passing all challengers. As the green was waved on the restart, Justin Grant #75K would continue on the high side and pass Boyles for the feature win with a side by side finish having fans on their feet. Boyles would end the night second with Korey Weyant #99 a very close third place showing. Fourth place would belong to the always fast Chris Parkinson #65 with other heat race winner Mitchell Moore #51 rounding out the nights top five. Other heat race winner was #21 of Ryan Kitchen.

Casey Burnett #23B, E-Modified Feature Winner

E-Modified would roar to the track with great racing from start to finish. Casey Burnett #23B would again find the fast 3/8ths mile Speedway to his liking and pick up win number two on the 2016 racing season. Randy Smith Jr #20X would again show poise and character placing a very close second on the night with Josh Munsen #19X big mover of the race third. Heat race winner Austin Bouzek #14 would finish fourth with Robert Fisk #31B back in form ending the feature fifth. Other heat race winners were Jason Marrant #33 and Jim Masoner Jr #66X.

“Outlaw” Nic Hanes #17X, USRA B-Modified Feature Winner

With a full field of USRA B-Modified competitors the racing was hot, heavy, lean and green with Nic Hanes #17X standing tall in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Heat race winner Hanes would take the early lead and never relinquish holding off all challengers to claim his third victory of the 2016 racing season at I-35 Speedway. Other heat race winner Tim Eaton #211 would challenge Hanes falling a little short placing second on this night with Riley Whitworth #R63 impressing on his first trip to the track a close third. Other heat race winner Yancy Shepard #22Y would battle to the line with another heat race winner Shadren Turner #17t with Shepard fourth and Turner fifth on the night.

Jason Hughes #12, USMTS Modified Feature Winner

USMTS Modifieds would not disappoint the capacity crowd with exciting racing throughout the 24 car starting grid. With 35 USRA Modifieds two B-Features where ran to narrow the field to the fastest and best of the best. Jason Hughes #12 would take the early lead and never look back on his way to victory and large paycheck with a show of epic proportion. Hughes would be challenged every lap of the feature by a very fast heat race winner Jesse Sobbing #99 who would have to settle for second on this night of competition. Third and fourth would see a battle of heat race winners as Cade Dillard #97D would hold off a very fast #88D of Matt Dotson in a race to the checkers. Rodney Sanders #20 would race his way to the front and round out the night’s top five. Other heat race winner was Brock Bauman #6.
