I-35 Speedway, Winston Mo. 08-06-2022

Ninety-seven (97) cars checked in for McCarty Auto Group Kids Night at I-35 Speedway. Fans and drivers were treated to a great track and in return the drivers put on a fantastic show for the fans as the final checkered flag flew at 10:25 pm.

 

In the E-Mods, points leader Casey Burnett picked feature win #13 on the season. Burnett had to hold off the driver chasing him in the points, Adam Dunwoodie, who finished second. George Burnett raced his way up to a third-place finish, followed by PJ Conger and Aaron Jones as both drivers would have another top five finish.

 

In the Pure Stocks, Jake Starmer would visit McCarty Auto Group Victory Lane for the second time at I-35 Speedway this season. Trevor Hittle would pick up a second-place finish. Alvie Christofferson would finish third, with Mike Miller fourth and Johnnie Price fifth.

 

Houston Johson would pick up his fourth Midwest Limited Late Model feature win of the season. Johnson would slip past Ed Noll five laps into the feature to secure the win. Tommy Cordray would race his way up to a second-place finish, followed by Ed Knoll, Chase Breid and Jackson Brawner.

 

The USRA B-Mod feature was one to remember as Colin Pierce slipped past then race leader Tyler Cadwallader to pick up his first career USRA B-Mod feature win. Cadwallader, the track points leader, would finish second. Jamie Alshire would put together an impressive night finishing third, with Michael Taylor III and Daniel Harris both rebounding to finish fourth and fifth.

 

In the USRA Stock Cars, Gerald Wahwahsuck would have a great battle early with Kristchon Hisel, with Wahwahsuck picking up his first feature win of the season. Chris Mercer would continue to impress with a second-place finish. Anthony Robertson would finish third. Dalton Swalley would finally have some luck as he would come home with a fourth finish, and Chester Kaufman came in fifth.

 

In the USRA Modifieds, Lee Hibner and Houston Johnson would battle lap after lap, with Hibner picking up his third feature win of the season. Johson would finish second, followed by Chad Lyle, Tyler Grooms and Leroy Morrison.

 

In the Sport Compacts, Isaiah Penton picked up his ninth feature win of the season as he led every lap en route to victory. Brad Mick, Sport Compact points leader, would finish second, followed by Ryan Lewis, Harold Robb Jr and James Barr.
