One hundred and seven (107) cars checked in for Trenton Coca-Cola Bottling Company night at I-35 Speedway Saturday night. Once again, the fans were treated to some great side by side racing as the drivers of I-35 Speedway put on a heck of a show that ended just before 10:45 p.m.

Saturday night started off with some E-Mod action as Adam Dunwoodie finally got the monkey off his back and parked his 33d machine in McCarthy Auto Group victory lane. Aaron Jones would challenge early as he would take home another top three finish placing second. Jacob Hodges would make his return to I-35 Speedway a successful one is he finished in the third position followed by Logan Rash with another successful trip to I-35 Speedway in fourth and Tyler Cadwallader would round out the top five driving the 39s for Bubba Silkwood.

In Pure Stock competition Jake Starmer would run away with his third straight feature win at I-35 Speedway. Early on he was challenged by Jon Boller Jr who ran out of laps finishing second, points leader Ava Dixon would race her way into a third-place finish, fourth spot went to Tyler Starmer, who rebounded from an earlier spin and fifth went to Johnnie Price as he tried to keep tabs on Dixon in the points battle.

Ed Noll would be another driver to finally get that elusive first win in the Midwest Limited Late Models. Noll, class points leader finally had some good luck come his way as he slipped by early leader Paul Glendenning to get the win. Glendenning would pick up a second-place finish followed by a fast Doug Burgess in third, a former track Champion Tommy Cordray in fourth and the always fast Houston Johnson in fifth.

In USRA B-Mod action Daniel Harris would cruise to McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane for the first time in B-Mod competition for 2022 to go along with his USRA Modified win earlier in the season. Reese Solander, a numerous time feature winner from one year ago would make the trip to I-35 Speedway and finish second, Michael Taylor III continues his stellar rookie season with a top three finish finishing third, Jake Richards and Corey Myers raced their ways into top five finishes, finishing fourth and fifth.

I-35 Speedway USRA Stock Car points leader Nic Hanes picked up win number four on the 2022 campaign. Hanes wasn’t short of competition though as former track champion and multiple time feature winner Jeff Dixon found something late on the high side but could not get enough momentum to catapult past Hanes for the lead. Dixon was second followed by national points contender Doug Keller, last week’s winner Kristchon Hisel and Chester Kaufman rounding out the top five. Next week will be bonus money in this class for the Mike Knight Memorial.

Tyler Hibner continues his torrid pace in the USRA Modifieds making yet another trip to McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane. Hibner, the current points leader again had some tough competition holding off the likes of Lee Hibner, defending track champion Houston Johnson, Darren Shaw and Chad Lyle who all finished inside the top five.

In Sport Compact action Isaiah Penton tries to climb his way into the points lead as he picked up win number 11 on the season. Penton had a great battle with the current points leader Brad Mick as they swapped the lead numerous times. Mick would finish second, followed by Elijah Hoyt, Brad Alshire and Jeremy Sims who all had fantastic runs inside the top five.

Little Buddies Power Wheels sponsored by TNT Builders of Lamoni, IA were in action with a record number of 12 checking in. The 6 Volt win went to Wade Wilkons and again in 12 Volt competition the win went to Racelyn Romesburg.

Congratulations to Fan of the Week Andreina Dixon sponsored by Graphics King, Wright Motorsports, Truelove Racing, Silkwood Family Racing and Hibner Racing.

Join us next week for Nodaway Valley Bank Night with the Mike Knight Memorial and Midwest Lightning Sprints on hand.  Lace up your running shoes and join us on the track at intermission for the Stinky Feet Race.
