IMCA Modified Madness 50 reset for Friday
DAVENPORT, Ia. (May 30, 2011) – The IMCA Modified Madness 50 has be rescheduled for this Friday, June 1st, at the Davenport Speedway. The event, originally slated for May 25th, was rained out.
An excellent field of more than thirty racers had checked into the pit area before the rain fell. The entries included some top notch invaders along with a talented local contingent.
The IMCA Modified Madness 50 will be run on the quarter-mile dirt oval, at the Davenport Speedway. The winner of the 50-lap feature will take home the $2,000 top prize.
Brian Webb, of Davenport, won the IMCA Modified Shootout last year. Thirty-six drivers from four states took part in last year’s race at the Davenport Speedway.
Also racing at Davenport, will be IMCA Late Models, Street Stocks, and 4 Stocks. Pit gates at Davenport open at 4p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.
Grandstand admission for the event will be: Adults $15, Teens/Seniors $14.
