IMCA Stock Car Shootout Series features pay $1,000 to win

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 25) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers will race for $1,000 to win and Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions qualifying eligibility each night of the July 2-4 Shootout Series.

The Stock Car Shootout Series opens Tuesday, July 2 at Marshalltown Speedway then travels to Buena Vista Raceway in Alta during the Kyle Suter Memorial program on Wednesday, July 3. The finale is on Independence Day Thursday, July 4 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Arnold Motor Supply Northern Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded all three nights. Local track points will be given for the BVR and Iowa State Fairgrounds shows.

There is a $50 entry fee for Stock Cars each night of the series.

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods also run for a $1,000 top prize at Marshalltown. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the card in $300 to win and $100 to win features, respectively.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. at Marshalltown. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow.

Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids 11 and under. There is also a $50 entry fee for the SportMods.

Along with the Stock Cars, IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, Mach-1 Sport Compacts and BVR Bombers run at Alta.  The Modifieds race for $500 to win, SportMods for $350, Hobby Stocks for $300 and Sport Compacts and Bombers both for $150.

Gates to the pit area open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. Spectator admission is $9 for adults and free for military personnel and children under the age of 12.

Sanctioned Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Northern SportMods and Sport Compacts, as well as Karl Chevrolet Dirt Trucks try and tame the big ½-mile oval at Des Moines in the series finale. SportMods and Hobby Stocks both chase $300 top checks.

Pit passes are $25 each night.
