KNOXVILLE RACEWAY MAKING IMPROVEMENTS IN OFFSEASON

 

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (December 13, 2023) – The Raceway is putting in two new elevators and an additional bathroom that will be  on the back side of the upper level of the grandstand. These projects are not expected to be done by the start of the race season in April but are scheduled to be completed before the 2024 Knoxville Nationals. The raceway is also working on minor projects such as bathroom improvements, concrete work, PA system upgrades, and electrical improvements at the campground. Knoxville Raceway General Manager Jason Reed was impressed with how well the racing and fair seasons went last year in Knoxville and hopes to continue the momentum through the offseason.

“It’s been busy but it’s been good. I’ve had a lot of people that think both the race season and fair season went really good. We have a lot of people wanting to be involved next year and I  have companies reaching out asking how they can be a part of both the race track and the fair so that’s very good and a positive thing.”
