Lucas Oil MLRA double shot comes to Eastern Iowa
MAQUOKETA, Ia. (May 17, 2020) – The 2020 racing schedule continues to evolve amidst changing COVID-19 restrictions. DRT TRAK Racing Inc. has realigned its schedule and paired back-to-back Lucas Oil MLRA late model events in the month of June.
Maquoketa Speedway takes center stage on Saturday, June 13th, as the MLRA series makes their second ever appearance at the Jackson County fairgrounds. On Sunday, June 14th, the racing action shifts over to the big half-mile West Liberty Raceway.
Also racing at both events, will be Modifieds running for a top prize of $1,000-to-win, and SportMods racing for $500-to-win, and the American Iron Racing Series. Maquoketa Speedway will also have 4-Stocks competing.
Start times at Maquoketa are pits @ 4pm, grandstand @ 5pm, drivers meeting @ 6pm, hotlaps @ 6:30, with racing to follow. Start times for the Sunday race at West Liberty will be two hours earlier.
DRT TRAK Racing Inc. will also hold the Mod Time 2K at West Liberty Raceway, on Saturday, June 6th.
A $2,000 top prize awaits the winner of the Modified A-Main. Also racing will be Stock Cars, Sport Mods, 4-Stocks, and an appearance from Nostalgic Stock Car Racing Club.
At this time, all 2020 race dates are tentative and subject to weather and further government restrictions.
