Marshalltown Speedway hosts Ken Schrader at April 4 Frostbuster special

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (March 26) – Fan favorite and long-time NASCAR Sprint Cup competitor Ken Schrader joins the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified field for the Friday, April 4 Frostbuster special at Marshalltown Speedway.

The feature pays $1,000 to win and is a qualifying event for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Schrader was runner-up in his most recent Frostbuster show at Marshalltown, in 2012.

Completing the program are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars running for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250.

Gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, regional and Allstar Performance Iowa State points will be awarded. More information is available from promoter Toby Kruse at 515 231-5444 and at the www.marshalltownspeedway.com website.

Schrader will also race at Frostbusters April 3 at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, April 5 at Boone Speedway and April 6 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton.

First night for local track points at Marshalltown is Friday, April 11.
