MARSHALLTOWN SPEEDWAY SET TO HOST TWO EVENTS OVER THE NEXT FOUR DAYS

 

Marshalltown, IA (June 24th, 2014) – The Deery Brothers IMCA Late Models will make their only appearance of the year this Tuesday at the Marshalltown Speedway for the 50th Anniversary season.  Also on the card will be IMCA SportMods boasting a $1,000 payday, IMCA Stock Cars going after a top prize of $500, and the Karl Chevrolet Dirt Trucks.

The pit gates open a 5:00, grandstands at 5:30, and hot laps go green at 7:00 with racing to follow.

On Friday night, IMCA weekly racing resumes with Shawn’s Custom Haygrinding Night.  Their will be a candy dash for the children 12 and under and extra money up for grabs for feature winners.  The winners of the IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, and Hobby Stocks will all receive another $100 courtesy of Shawn’s Custom Hay Grinding.

The Marshalltown Speedway will celebrate their Golden Anniversary the following Friday, July 4th.  Their will be a free luncheon from noon until 1:00 and fans are invited to bring out old photos, memorabilia, and stories to share.

All retired past champions and their families are invited to watch for free.

The grandstand admission will only be $5.00 for adults and children 11 and under are admitted for free on this special occasion.  Their will be a huge fireworks display to follow the racing action at 9:45.

Also, keep in mind the upcoming 8th Annual World Nationals set for September 18th – 20th paying $10,000 to the Modified victor.
