May at a glance for the Marshalltown Speedway

MARSHALLTOWN, IA (May 4, 2012) – The month of May heats up with four Friday night Wolf Seeds Chase for the Championship events and one mid-week special for the IMCA Late Models.  The first Friday of May will see the Johnny Ray’s Sport and Grill night with six classes in competition.

The following Friday, May 11th, will be the annual Cliff Chambers Memorial/UAW Local 893 night honoring one of the great promoters of the speedway.

All of the Scouts in uniform will be admitted free on the Old Timer Lounge night on Friday, May 18th.

That event will be followed by the Miller Lite 50 on Tuesday, May 22nd.  This Tuesday night classic will see the IMCA Deery Brothers Late Models, Karl Chevrolet Dirt Trucks, Big 8 Tyre IMCA Sport Mods ($500 to win), and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Mod Lites all in competition on the famed 1/4 mile high banked dirt oval.

The final friday night in May all children 12 and under will be admitted free courtesy of the Evening Optimist Club on Midwest Liquid Systems night at the speedway.
