Midway Championship Chase Keeps Roling/Late Model Rac Date Announced

LEBANON, MO (Sept 13, 2012) – After a season record of over 100 race teams last week, The Championship Chase at the Midway Speedway is in action this Saturday Night with the regular 5 racing classes of Factory Stocks, B Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, and Street Stocks with racing slated to start at 7:30.

  Current track point leaders are Tim Petty (Factory Stocks), Ted Ballinger (B Modifieds), Rob White (Pure Stocks), Sam Petty (Midwest Modifieds) and Mark Simon (Street Stocks). The drivers are moving around in the track standings as they attempt to position themselves for this stretch driver as only 3 point nights are left.

  In related Speedway news, Midway has announced that the DLRA Late Models will be competing on Saturday October 6th. That night is also scheduled as the Flagman’s Bonus money event as classes will be announced with some extra payout that evening.

  Following the great response with the Non-Winged Sprints Cars, Speedway owner Jack Jones is working on attempting to secure them for another event as the 2 day Cola-Cola Fall Brawl will following the flagman’s special.
