| June 19, 2021

(Bill W) June 16, 2021, Monroe, IA – A busy fortnight ahead looms for the Midwest Thunder Sprints presented by OpenWheel101.com point race.  Fourteen year old Ryan Timms, Austin McCarl and Carson Macedo were the big winners last weekend with the series.  Timms (Jacksonville Speedway) and Macedo (Knoxville Raceway x2) became the fifteenth and sixteenth different winners in the series’ 34 events contested thus far.  Austin McCarl’s win (at Huset’s Speedway) marked his fourth of the season.

Brian Brown leads the current point standings, ahead of Gio Scelzi, Justin Henderson, Rico Abreu and McCarl.  Ayrton Gennetten, Matt Juhl, Carson McCarl, Parker Price-Miller and Jack Dover round out the top ten.

The next two weeks will see the World of Outlaws in the area for point eligible races including 34 Raceway in Iowa (June 17), Dubuque Speedway in Iowa (June 18), Beaver Dam Raceway in Wisconsin (June 19), Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota (June 20-22) and Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota for the Jackson Nationals (June 24-26).  Other events will see weekly action at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa (June 19) and at Huset’s (June 20).  The IRA will visit Angell Park Speedway on June 27.
