Mother Nature Wins at the CJ Speedway

 

Columbus Junction, IA (Friday, April 29, 2016) – Mother nature wasn’t to kind to the CJ Speedway in Columbus Junction, Iowa this past week, as close to 2 inches of rain fell over the grounds on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. And without any sun to help dry things out, officials were forced to cancel Curry’s Transportation Night on Friday, April 29th.

Coming up next Friday, May 6th will be a Modified Spectacle, with $750 to win and $100 to start on the line. There is no entry fee for the P&L Transportation Modifieds. Which will be using a draw / redraw format to determine their starting spots on the night. Also in action will be the Kauffman Electric IMCA Stock Cars, Tyson Fresh Meats SportMods, Mod Lites, Louisa Communications IMCA Sport Compacts, and Kemper Trucking CJ Mini Haulers.

Gates will open at 5:30 PM, Hot Laps at 7 PM, and Racing at 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission will be adults $10, seniors $9, students (11-17) $7, and kids 10 & under FREE!. Pit passes are $25, non member drivers $30, ages (7-13) $15, and ages (6 & under) $10.
