National Sprint Car Museum will host a 90-minute “Late Model 101” forum entitled “Iowa World 100 Winners of the 1970’s.”
“LATE MODEL 101: IOWAWORLD 100 WINNERS OF THE 1970’S” FORUM SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, AT NATIONALSPRINTCARMUSEUM
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (September 17, 2012) – At 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, in its second floor conference center, the National Sprint Car Museum will host a 90-minute “Late Model 101” forum entitled “Iowa World 100 Winners of the 1970’s.” It will be hosted by the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame’sBob Markosand his son Bobby Markos, Jr., and it will feature three ofIowa’s World 100 winners in Verlin Eaker (1972), Ed Sanger (1974), and Kenny Walton (1978).
According toNationalSprintCarMuseumcurator Tom Schmeh, “We are very pleased to be hosting ‘Late Model 101’ historical forums for the third straight year during the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals. This particular one, hosted by the Markos family, will follow our annual memorabilia auction, which will take place in the same location from 12 Noon until 2:30 p.m. I expect both the Noon auction and the 3 p.m. forum will be very well attended. We are also truly honored to be welcoming late model stock car greats Verlin Eaker, Ed Sanger and Kenny Walton to our museum.”
