Oskaloosa, Marshalltown, Boone, Vinton host April 3-6 Frostbuster specials
OSKALOOSA, Iowa (March 27) – One thousand dollars is the top prize for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds at April 3-6 Frostbuster specials.
Modified features on Thursday, April 3 at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Friday, April 4 at Marshalltown Speedway, Saturday, April 5 at Boone Speedway and Sunday, April 6 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton are qualifying events for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
Fan favorite and NASCAR Sprint Cup veteran Ken Schrader will be in the Modified field all four nights.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 each night. Mach-1 Sport Compacts are also on the Sunday card at Vinton.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. at Oskaloosa. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. at Marshalltown.
Boone opens the pit gates at 2 p.m. with hot laps at 4 p.m. and racing at 5 p.m.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance Iowa State points will be awarded each night.
The regular point season starts April 9 at Oskaloosa, April 11 at Marshalltown, April 12 at Boone and April 13 at Vinton.
All four Frostbusters will be broadcast live on XSAN.
