Saturday Night’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals & Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals Events Rained Out at Highland Speedway
Series returns to action Sunday night at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.
HIGHLAND, Ill. – July 6, 2013 – With the race program already underway, heavy rain rolled in and forced Highland Speedway and DIRTcar Racing officials to call off Saturday night’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals “Hell Tour” and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals events.
The track and series officials will work to announce a date to complete the event.
On Sunday night, the grueling six-week summer series invades Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., where the pit gates will open no earlier than 3:30 p.m.
Brandon Sheppard continues to lead the Summer Nationals Hell Tour by 65 points over Bobby Pierce, who during the week became the youngest winner in the history of the popular summer series.
On the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals tour, a consistent Rusty Griffaw has moved to the top of the standings by 52 points over Jeff Curl.
