Seeburg Muffler Night at I-35 Speedway Winston, Mo.

WINSTON, MO (September 2, 2023) – It was Seeburg Muffler Night at I-35 Speedway. The Wholesale Batteries Midwest Wingless Racing Association non-wing Sprint Cars made an appearance for the first time this season as their original appearance was washed out.
We started off feature racing action with the E-Mods and the points leader Adam Dunwoodie took advantage of his outside front row starting position to pick up his tenth win at I-35 Speedway, his twelfth overall. Aaron Jones celebrated his birthday with some great side by side battles as he finished second, Mark Anderson battled in the top five all race long as he came home third, Brett Holman gained three positions as he finished fourth and Michael Hascall picked up another top five finish as he finished fifth.
In Pure Stock competition Jeffrey Sears, the class points leader got back to McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane for the eighth time this season as he held off all challenges. Ava Dixon came back from the tail of the field after a first lap mishap to finish second, Alvie Christopherson challenged Sears for the lead lap after lap but finished third, Johnny Price picked up a top five finish as he came home fourth and Issac Dixon continued his outstanding rookie season finishing fifth.
The Wholesale Batteries Midwest Wingless Racing Association made the trip to I-35 Speedway with their series points leader Wyatt Burks going 2 for 2 on the weekend picking up the win. Burks battled for the lead early on with Zachary Clark before eventually making the pass. Luke Howard picked up a few spots to finish second, Clark would finish third, followed by Chris Parkinson and Dakota Earls in fourth and fifth.
In the USRA B-Mods the National Points leader Shadren Turner had a great battle with the defending track champion Tyler Cadwallader before Turner eventually made the pass to capture win number seven at I-35, his nineteenth overall in the USRA competition. Cadwallader, last week’s winner finished second, track points leader Corey Myers came home third, Jace Whitt and Krew Walburn made their return to I-35 finishing fourth and fifth.
Nic Hanes visited McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane for the sixth time in 2023 in Medieval USRA Stock Car competition as he held off Tommy Ground and track points leader Jeff Dixon as they came home second and third. Bill Carter and Dalton Swalley had good runs finishing fourth and fifth.
USRA Modified points leader Tyler Hibner picked up another win, his eleventh on the season. Lee Hibner battled Houston Johnson as Hibner finished second with Johnson third. Richard Layne and Andrew Thomas both would garner top five finishes in fourth and fifth.
Sport Compact points leader Brad Mick made it three wide before taking the lead and picking up win number nine this season. Alvin Cooney ran in the top three all race long finishing second, Harold Robb Jr, winner of the previous two weeks finished third, Brad Aleshire made a return to the Speedway finishing fourth and Ryan Hinkle had a good run and finished fifth.
Jr Sport Compact points leader Payton Hanes picked up her fourth win of the season as she held off Alvin Cooney, Maddy Barr and Katelynn Fleming for the victory.
