SIS Races Washed Out
Oskaloosa, Iowa: The Musco Lighting Southern Iowa Speedway racing action slated for Wednesday night April 17th fell victim to persistent rain showers that hit Oskaloosa just after 6:30 pm.
The track was being laid down when the skies opened up, Another attempt was made to pack the track but another shower hit forcing officials to cancel the racing program.
Due to the Redneck Rally being run April 26th and 27th at the Southern Iowa Speedway, there will be no regular Wednesday racing until May 1st. Kool Seamless gutter will present “Memorial Night” at the races on May 1st.
Racers and Fans alike will be able to sponsor the races in memory of those who have left us. In addition to the regular four classes of cars the Iowa Sportsman Series will also be in action.
Hot laps will take to the Speedway at 7 pm with racing to follow.
