Springfield Raceway B Mod Nationals Postpones Event 1 Week

Springfield, Mo. (April 1, 2014) – With the forecasted rain and weather moving into the Springfield area starting Wed through Friday, officials at the Springfield Raceway have announced they will postpone this weekends 2nd Annual Liquid Nitro B Modified Nationals presented by Reliable Chevrolet. The event will be ran April 10th through the 12th, with an open practice night slated for Wed April 9th.

“This is a very tough call, but with pre-entries coming as far away as Canada, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, North Dakota and all around, this is the best decision to call it early and use the rain date.’ quoted Co-Owner Jerry Hoffman. ” We are at over 104 plus pre-entries for this event which pays $6600 to win and $1200 to start the 66 lap feature event as drivers were going to be competing for in excess of $45,000 purse money. Trying to run this weekend would be a push as the weather forecast just doesn’t look good at all.”

For those who have Liquid Nitro Midwest Family Radio Promotional tickets, they will be honored next Thursday evening April 10th as the 3-day event will begin. Those with Reliable Chevrolet Promotional Tickets, they will be honored Friday April 11th.
