Springfield Raceway Getting Ready For Fab 5 Season Events
SPRINGFIELD, MO (Sept 17, 2012) – With the 2012 Transport Graphics Championship Chase in the books, the ‘Quick-Quarter” of the Springfield Raceway is preparing for the Fab 5 season events with 5 different style and type of events for both fans and drivers.
Saturday September 29th will be the Wolfman House Of Screams sponsored Mechanics/ Powder-puff event with a full card of racing action in store. USRA Modifieds will compete for National points along with B Modifieds (No National Points Awarded), Midwest Modz, Pure Stocks( bring your home track rules) and the OUTLAW Street Stocks and Factory Stocks in which it must be a full bodied type of car (No Late models or Late Model Bodies, Etc) will be competing. We will see how creative they can get. Drivers will be competing for the normal Springfield Raceway payout. Also Petran Motorsports of Springfield will be sponsoring the Young Lions Missouri Nationals for the Kids Legend division
The Mechanics race will feature a chance for those who turn the wrenches and help their drivers in the pits al season long. All Modifieds will be ran together along with the full bodied type cars. No former feature winners or track champions are allowed to compete. The ladies will get a chance to show the guys how it is done also competing against each other. Racing will start at 6PM.
Saturday October 6th will be the running of the Bordertown Casino Octoberfast featuring the ASCS Warrior and Sooner Regional 360 Winged sprint Cars as they make their only appearance of the 2012 season along with USRA Modifieds battling for National points, B Modifieds, Midwest Modz, Pure Stocks( bring your home track rules), and Street Stocks with racing to start at 6PM.
Saturday October 13th is the make-up date for the 12th Annual Larry Phillips Memorial presented by Home Pro as the MARS and MLRA Super Late Models do battle along with USRA Modifieds( National Points Awards-last chance), B Modifieds, Midwest Modz, Legends, Young Lions, Pure Stocks and Street Stocks with racing at 6PM.
Saturday October 27th will be the 2nd Annual Boogerman Trick or Treat for Breast Cancer as the Legends will battle for the Missouri State Championship presented by Petran Motorsports along with A Modifieds, B Modifieds, Midwest Modz, Pure Stocks, Young Lions, and Street Stocks.
Saturday November 17th the running of the 6th annual Turkey Classic featuring Late Models, A Modifieds, B Modifieds, and Legends while November 24th is slated for the weather date.
