Springfield Raceway Releases Action Packed 2013 Tenative Schedule
SPRINGFIELD, MO (March 24, 2013) – Springfield Raceway owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland have released another action packed schedule for the 2013 racing season at the racy placed known as the “Quick-Quarter” in Springfield, Missouri.
Action starts off fast and furious on Saturday April 20th as Budweiser will present the ASCS Warrior and Sooner Regional Winged Sprint Cars along with support classes as the track honors former official Don Hasse
The chase for the 2013 track championship will begin on Saturday April 20th and the weekly action will feature USRA Modifieds, USRA B Modifieds, Legends, Young Lion Legends (kids under 15), Midwest Modz, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks and point races will run through Saturday August 31st.
As always special events are stagger throughout the season. The first of those will be the John Kuntz Memorial presented by Andy’s Frozen Custard featuring the MARS Super Late Models.
Non Wing Sprint Cars make an appearance as the WAR Non Winged Sprints on August 10th presented by Indigo Sky Casino along with support classes. The WAR Sprints are also scheduled to make a return visit on Satuday October 26th during the Boogerman Trick Or Treat Event
The always popular Larry Phillips Memorial is scheduled for Saturday September 14 as the MARS Late Models come into the Speedway again with the feature scheduled to be a 75 lapper in honor of the Springfield Hall Of Fame Driver.
The Summer Perry Memorial is slated as a 2 day event and currently has Modifieds challenging Late Models on October 11 and 12th with weather dates already in place.
The season ending Turkey Bowl in a tribute to Mike Clark is slated for Saturday November 23rd with a weather date the following week.
Other events to help high-light the action include 2 Powder-puff and 2 Mechanic’s Races, some special paying events for different classes and things that make a family feel welcomed and entertained.
