“SPRINT CAR 101: CHRIS DUNKIN & FAMILY ‘DISH THE DIRT’ ON KNOXVILLE” SET FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, AT MUSEUM

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (October 9, 2013) –  “Chris Dunkin & Family ‘Dish the Dirt’ on Knoxville” is set as the next program in the National Sprint Car Museum’s Sprint Car 101 Third Thursday Series and it will take place on Thursday, October 17.  The free and open-to-the-public presentation will take occur on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at 7 p.m.  It will feature current Knoxville Raceway dirt track preparer Chris Dunkin, his family and helpers.

According to museum curator Tom Schmeh today, “The Dunkin family of Knoxville have a long history of preparing the dirt surface at Knoxville Raceway and they are known by touring sprint car teams, and now late model teams, as being the best in the business.  It will be fun to learn about their family background from Chris, as well as some of his current tricks of the trade.”
