The first night of racing at I-35 Speedway is in the books!

WINSTON, MO (March 22, 2025) – And we’re back!
The first night of racing at I-35 Speedway is in the books. We saw 89 total cars hit the track across 7 different classes. With some familiar faces as well as some new ones at the track, the action picked up as soon as the green flag dropped in heat racing.

Race Highlights
E-Mods Feature Race: Tony Layne was able to outlast his competition. Layne hit every restart perfectly on the way to collecting his first opening night win in his racing career.

Jr. Sport Compacts: Athena Riley collected the feature win, the first of her racing career.

Pure Stock Feature Race: One of the most exciting races of the night came in this category, where CJ Turner had to hold off a fast-charging Mich Ross and Shaun Wirtz to grab the opening night win.

B-Mods Feature Race: The field was full of clean looking racecars from top to bottom, and Tim Eaton took home the feature win.
USRA Stock Car Feature Race: Anthony Robertson led many laps of this feature race, but thanks to a perfectly executed late-race restart from Brad Derry, he was able to pass Robertson and secure the feature win.
A-Mods Feature Race: Tyler Hibner picked up right where he left off. Last year’s track champion got the lead early and never looked back to grab his first feature win of 2025.

Sport Compacts: Last year’s track champion Brad Mick grabbed the feature win in his new car that is yet to lose a race. In Mick’s interview, he credited Keegan Russell from Corning, IA for a spectacular race, with Russell finishing in 2nd.
