Together WE Fight Hunger 25 for 35 in honor of Brian Hetrick set for May 25, Party in the Pits added!

DONNELLSON, Iowa (May 7, 2012) – With three of the first four events rained out for the 2012 season at Lee County Speedway two events have already been rescheduled. Both are $1,000 to win races, including one for the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds and the other for 305 Sprint Cars.

The first of the rescheduled events will be held, Friday, May 25, when Hy-Vee of Fort Madison and Keokuk, Midwest Performance and Coors Light bring the rescheduled Together WE Fight Hunger 25 for 35 in honor of Brian Hetrick to Memorial Day weekend. Joining the 305 Sprint Cars will be points races for the Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA Sport Mods, Coors Light Hobby Stocks and Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts.

To top the night off, the Mississippi Valley Vintage Race Car Association will also be in attendance to put a few extra races on for the fans.

And, last but not least, we will have our first Party in the Pits, which was rained out, May 4. Buffalo Wild Wings is scheduled to be there, along with musical entertainment and Dirt, Dust and Speed playing the night’s races on BWW’s big screens. There will be no charge for the Party in the Pits, everyone is welcome. Beverages, including the adult variety, will be available for normal concession prices, plus BWW will be selling their famous boneless wings!

Pit gates will open at 5 p.m., with grandstands opening at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m. and racing will start at 7 p.m. Pit passes will be $25, while grandstand admission will be $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for students 11-17 and children 10 and under are free.

$1,000 to win Budweiser IMCA Modified special rescheduled for July 27

The season’s opening show was washed out as well, and the $1,000 to win Budweiser IMCA Modified show went with it, but it has been returned to life with a reschedule date of, Friday, July 27.

Mohrfeld Electric and Pepsi will be the sponsors of the night’s action, which will be a points night for all five normal classes, including the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. The evening’s festivities will be a draw-redraw show for the Modifieds.

Pit passes will be $25, while grandstand adult admission will be $10, with seniors $8, students 11-17 $6 and children 10 and under free.
