USRA Modifieds And Legends Added To Springfield Raceway Liquid Nitro B Mod Nationals On Saturday April 5th
Springfield, Mo. (March 27, 2014) – Springfield Raceway Owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland announced today the that USRA Modifieds will be competing during the running of the 2nd Annual Liquid Nitro B Mod Nationals on Saturday April 5th. The USRA Modifieds will be competing for USRA National points in a $500 to win while starting the feature will pay $90. INEX Legend Cars have also been added to the Saturday night portion of the event competing in a $250 to win and $35 to start the feature.
The Liquid Nitro B Modified Nationals is entering the last week to pre-register in this $6600 to win $1200 to start 66 lap feature event. Entries are getting close to the 100 mark and this is a pre-entry event only.
The B Mod Nationals features 6 different types of rules packages allowing drivers from all over who compete week in and week out in this type of class at their area and home tracks. Drivers from over 10 states and Canada have already filed their entry competing for over $45,000 plus in purse money for the weekend. The Speedway will host an open practice session on Wed April 2nd for any type of cars that would like a test and tune session. Pit Passes for the practice will be $20 while the grandstands are Free.
Thursday Night April 3rd, the “Quick-Quarter” of the Springfield Raceway will come to life as the pit gates will open at 4PM and the Grandstands at 6PM. Cut-off for draw is set at 6PM while hot laps are slated at 6:30PM and Racing at 7PM. Action will feature 12 Qualifying heats in each each winner goes into the Qualifying feature for the night. The rest of the field will be placed into 10 last chance events in which the winner also makes the Qualifying feature. The top 4 finishers from that feature are locked into Saturday night’s $6600 to win Main Event. Pit passes will be $35 while Grandstand admission will be $12 for Adults, kids 6-12 are 45 and 5 and under Free. Car Entry Fee is $225.
Friday night will feature the same type of format and the times are the same as Thursday. The only difference will be in the draw as drivers that make the front part of the draw from Thursday will redraw on the back part for Friday while the drivers who were on the back part of the overall draw will get to redraw to the front half.Prices are the same Friday Night as Thursday Night.
Saturday Night, Reliable Chevrolet and the Big Lot along with GM Performance will host Championship night as drivers will be using their previous night’s finishes to help line-up the last chance events.
Saturday night the pit gates open at 2:30 while the Grandstand gates open at 4:30 while Racing action starts at 6PM. A special Non-Qualifiers event will pay $1,000 to the winner while USRA Modifieds and Legends qualify through heats to set-up their run in the features. Grandstand Admission for Saturday night will be Adults $15 with kids prices remaining the same. Pit passes will still be $35.00.
